Media Giants became the major supplier of written and multimedia content for the AFL website and associated club websites when BigPond (now Telstra Media) won the rights to those sites in 2006. Our reporters attend games, club training, press conferences, the tribunal... anything and everything that happens in the AFL is covered by Media Giants, for the largest and most popular sports website in the country. This project sees us produce and publish, on average, around 250 content items per week in-season.
We have a large team that lives and breathes footy - from reporters and video crews to web and multimedia producers, writers and editors. We not only cover the news and features but also manage the site on a day-to-day basis for both BigPond and the AFL. The AFL is a truly national competition and to ensure we get the broadest possible coverage, the Media Giants content network now stretches around the country.
But our work with the AFL goes far beyond straight coverage of the game. Media Giants has also developed new creative concepts to make the site more appealing to fans and value-add our coverage. These include regular text and video features as well as one-off specials to attract site visitors.
