The True History Of The Giants Gang

The story of Media Giants dates back to last century, when Lance Melrose senior first predicted the need for original content that would one day be trasmitted on ye olde telegraph. The pictures below show some of our history and traditions.



1957

Media Giants installs its first word processor, at a cost of $9,000,000,000.00 (US). Taking up only a single floor in our office, the state of the art computer allows us to prepare for the Internet age, almost 40 years in advance.

1943

Our team of writers hard at work during the war years. Journalists were bound to their desks with handcuffs and fed shredded wheatmeal biscuits for lunch, a tradition that continues at Media Giants today.

1882

Lance Melrose senior takes a tea break with his employees, sitting outside the first Giants corporate office, a log hut in Ferntree Gully. The office featured cubicles made of bark and bean bags filled with real beans.
